Project TeePee

The construction of the new toilets and the tea-and-coffee station is scheduled to start on Weds 2 May.

You may wish to note :

  • The work will be undertaken by a local

contractor, Stephen Hale.

  • There will be a clear-the-decks working

party on the previous Saturday morning,

(28 April).  See separate note.

  • The church will be left tidy each weekend and normal Sunday services will continue.
  • Wednesday Communion will continue.  The contractors on site will take their break on Weds mornings at 1030.
  • The kettles for refreshments will be temporarily re-located to the vestry, where there is water and electric power.

A  supply of cups etc will probably be stacked on a table in the vestry porch.

  • The organ console will be protected by dust sheets but can be uncovered when needed.
  • The work is scheduled to take 12 weeks, so if all goes to plan it will finish in the last week of July.
  • Funding for this is very tight and contributions to the final round of fund-raising remain extremely welcome.

Clearing the Decks for TeePee

Work on Project TeePee will start on 2 May.   In preparation for that we need to clear the South Aisle.

This involves moving china, tea making facilities, flower arranging items, music sheets, furniture,

cleaning materials, books and other items, whilst also taking the opportunity to dispose of anything we do not need.

Maximum help for a couple of hours on Saturday 28 April, starting at 0930, would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!     Charles Freeman
