Distribution of Christmas Cards - can you help please?

The plan is to have the cards addressed and ready in Church for collection this Friday 1 December and for them all to be delivered by next Sunday 10 December.  If you are able to give a hand, even if it’s just a few around your home, your help is very welcome indeed.  Please sign up in Church, the sheets are on the noticeboard, or let Janet know.  Alternative, if you would like to donate some stamps, then that would be equally welcome as they will be used for difficult to reach addresses.  Thank you.

The Community of the Sisters of the Church CHRISTMAS APPEAL

We are grateful for all food donations and at Christmas especially appreciate:
Boxes of Chocolates, Festive Biscuits, Tins of Ham, Meat or Salmon, Mince Pies, Small Jars of Coffee.  Please make sure all food items arein date for Christmas!  Please note that we don’t need Christmas Puddings this year.

We are especially asking for the following:
For Ladies: gloves, warm scarves, hand-cream and individual toiletries
For Men:  gloves, scarves, hats, socks and toiletry sets

For the past two years we have asked for money donations for Argos vouchers, so that we could give a £10 voucher per child to all the families that we know are in need, and this was a huge success.  Last year we gave out around 200 vouchers, and would like to be able to do the same this year.

All donations are most welcome!  As well as bulk buying of food throughout the year, we also use some of our donated funds to top up gas and electricity meter keys for our most vulnerable callers and families, and we occasionally help out with household goods, babies’ and children’s items.

Please bring all your donations by this Sunday 3 December so we can meet the Sisters’ deadline.  Thank you for your kind generosity.

A copy of the Sisters’ letter can be found on the noticeboard in Church.
