Christmas Candles going up in Church - Monday 5 December

There will be a working party in the church at 9am on Monday 5 December for about 90 minutes to put the Christmas candles in place.  This involves tasks suitable for all levels of strength and agility;  all help will be very much appreciated.

Holy Communion at Bybrook House Wednesday 7 Dec

We celebrate Holy Communion at Bybrook House at 2.30pm on Wednesday 7 December.  It would be lovely to have some extra people there to support the singing. 

 

TOAST at St Thomas next Sunday 11 December

 

TOAST meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month.

A fun youth group that meets in St Thomas à Becket every two weeks usually, between 6pm and 7.30pm.  Toast is a group for year 6 and above.  We enjoy creatively exploring the Christian faith and eating plenty of food to keep us going!  Please contact a  member of Clergy, one of the leaders, or just come along to find out more.  Our leaders at TOAST are:

Christmas @ Heart 4 Rudloe with Special Visitor

 

Next Sunday 11 December

5pm start at Leylands Road Community Centre

 

Heart is a bit different this time as we celebrate Christmas.  We will be starting the Christingle event at the later time of 5pm at Leylands Road Community Centre.  Our Special Visitor will be in Rudloe from 4pm.

This activity is free, and is being run as part of the work of the Church of England in Box Parish.  Please do come along and join us.

 

 

Box Burns Night Ceilidh

Supporting the TeePee Fund

 

We are celebrating Burns Night in the Selwyn Hall on Saturday evening,  28 January 2017. Money raised from ticket sales will go to the TeePee fund.

 

A fabulous haggis supper and excellent dancing are included in the ticket price, which is £18 for adults and £7 for children.  A vegetarian alternative can be arranged, please advise of any special dietary requirements when booking the tickets.

 

Tickets can be booked at the Vicarage office on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, T. 744458 or from Charles Freeman, T. 744155.

 

The Box Burns Night will be an important fund raising event.  Ideas for other events include, a West Indian music evening and a “Murder Mystery”.  On the 10th of June 2017 there will be an Auction of Promises.

Craft Club on Thursday 15 December, 10am in Church

Everyone is very Welcome to the Craft Club that meets in St Thomas’ once a month.  No need to be a member of the congregation and you can dip in and out according to interest.

 

The next meeting is on Thursday 15 December, when we will be making a seasonal floral arrangement.
