The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are inviting churches to pray for the evangelisation of the nation during the week before the Day of Pentecost 2016

The Archbishops have written to every serving  parish  priest  in  the  Church of England expressing their longing "to see a great wave of prayer across our land, throughout the Church of England and many other Churches" from 8 - 15 May.

The week of prayer will culminate in 'Beacon events' around the country over Pentecost weekend, where people will pray for the renewal of the Holy Spirit and the confidence to share their faith. Further information is available from the Archbishop of Canterbury's web page.

You can download many ideas for prayer, at the Thy Kingdom Come website.http://thykingdom.co.uk/

HEART 4 Rudloe this Sunday 8 May

We meet between 4pm and 6pm, and everyone of any age is welcome (children must bring an adult to look

after them). The afternoon includes craft, tea drinking and Lego building. This is followed by prayer, story and songs.  We round off the afternoon with some food (a light meal).

This activity is free, and is being run as part of the work of the Church of England in Box Parish.  Please do come along and join us as we make, pray and eat in the JSU Corsham Community Centre on Leafy Lane.

Heart 4 Rudloe meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month.

Craft Group

An informal and relaxed Craft Group is now meeting in the Church from 10am until 12noon on the third Thursday of each month, under the guidance of Denise Brighten and Christine Bromley.

The Group meets next on Thursday 19 May at 10am.

If you would like further details please feel free to ring Denise or Christine; their contact details are available from the Vicarage office.

You do not have to be a member of the Thomas à Becket congregation to enjoy these sessions, which are based around friendship and the pleasure of learning simple new crafts;  all are Welcome.

To help anybody who wants to come to church on a Sunday, but has difficulty doing so, arrangements are being made for the Churchwardens to guide anybody like that towards a driver who might be able to help.  If you need a lift or know of anybody who does, please inform Pam Farmer or Charles Freeman.

Similarly, please let them know if you are willing to be contacted when necessary with a view to offering a lift.  During the week  (Mon-Fri) the first port of call for a lift is the Box LINK organisation.
